Planning a camping menu is one of my favorite parts of getting out to the campground. Burgers are a great way to serve a filling meal that each person can customize to their tastes. Get this fire side burgers camping recipe below.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lb. 80/20 ground beef
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tsp Soy sauce
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp Minced garlic
- 1 tsp Onion powder
- 1 tsp Garlic powder
- Canola oil, for pan or grill grates
- Buns (pretzel buns or ciabatta are best)
- Ketchup
- Mustard
- Mayo
- Tomatoes
- Lettuce
Instructions:
- In a large bowl combine your ground beef, salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, minced garlic, onion powder, and garlic powder.
- Mix until thoroughly combined.
- Using your hands, carefully form a them beef into patties, you should have at least four patties from this recipe.
- Build a strong fire and lower the grill grate. Clean the grill with a paper towel softer oil, and use tongs to scrape it over the grill.
- Place a cast iron skillet on the grill grate and allowed to heat. Add a drizzle of oil, then carefully place two of the patties in the skillet.
- Sear the patties on both sides, this should take two minutes per side. Repeat with the other patties.
- Cooked to desired doneness or until the internal temperature reaches 140.
- While the patties cook, wash and dry all your produce. Thinly slice your tomato and chop the lettuce.
- Serve your burgers with your choice of cheese on a toasted bun and topped with all your favorite burger toppings.
